Brian ran the day-to-day operations of the 24-officer department, managed the $4M+ budget, and implemented many new projects including a K-9 program, DARE, and body-worn cameras. Brian also implemented many community policing initiatives and worked closely with businesses, schools, churches, and local organizations, such as WeLIFT.
Brian served the community of Indianola for 31 years, until his retirement on September 15, 2025. Brian’s passion for public service and commitment to the citizens of Warren County is unmatched and demonstrated by his decades-long career and the activities he enjoys.
Brian has spent his retirement volunteering for the Warren County Fair Board, Warren County Republicans, and Three Rivers Chapter of Ducks Unlimited. He also worked part-time for Putney Auction, where he enjoyed visiting with everyone who stopped by. Brian also served the past two years as the Public Safety Director for Hinterland, a large, multi-day music festival in rural Warren County.
In addition to serving his community, Brian is a dedicated husband and father to four children. He enjoys spending time with his family and outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, farming, and gardening.
